The Best Way About It!

Published

Hi!

I am a senior in High school and planning to attend Regis University in Denver, CO this fall majoring in Nursing. I have spent numerous hours in a hospital setting, volunteering, shadowing, attending different seminars they offer to high school students, and being a part of a semester long internship. I have had so many great opportunities to really invest myself in the hospital setting. Because of all these events I have experienced time in emergency, labor and delivery, Peds, the NICU, and medical/surgical floors. I have fallen in love with the NICU and my goal is to pursue a career as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner. I have posted once to get information about whether it would be more beneficial for me to become a Neonatologist or a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, and I have chosen to go the practitioner path! If any of you have any advice on just getting through nursing school, how to get a job in the NICU after, suggestions on classes or outside opportunities I should try to partake in, what steps I should take in order to get myself into the NICU world it would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks for your time!
