The Best Place You've Been

Guys, tell me the best places you've ever worked.

The nicest people, the traveler friendly places.

I need a new location.

Best hospital? Hands down, Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, VA. The whole nursing atmosphere is different there. I worked M/S tele.

Favorite place? Richmond, VA, for a variety of reasons...small enough so you don't get swallowed up, big enough to have LOTS of amenities.

Specializes in ICU.

I appreciate your posts but these nice/nasty places...is this hospital wide? or unit-specific?? I'm starting to look into travel nursing early next year. And that's one of the things that i'm iffy about. I love my current job right now, but i can't go on life not knowing how travel nursing would be like. I'm told by the travel nurses on the floor that you have to be nice and go the extra mile because most nursing staff don't welcome their travelers. If anybody got insights on travel-friendly and travel-nasty hospitals around new york, connecticut and new jersey area...please give me the heads up!! Oh and if somebody could please turn this myth into fact?? I'm told that travelers make a loooott of money. But my travel colleagues say that you'll only make a lot if you take the housing stipend and/or work overtime!!
