Hello everyone,
Noticed there was no topic for the TWU Fall 2025 cohort. Could be early, but I want to know how everyone is doing! I'm currently in the process of writing my personal statements. I know the program is very competitive, so I wanted to share my stats and hopefully receive some honest feedback on my chances of admission:
GPA: 4.0
TEAS:
Cumulative: 90.7%
Reading: 89.7%
Math: 94.1%
Science: 93.2%
English: 81.8%
Good luck everyone!

I submitted my application to TWU Houston for the fall semester, and my stats are:
prerequisites GPA: 3.65
Cumulative GPA: 3.52
TEAS Score: 86.7%
Reading: 74.4%
Math: 94.1%
Science: 97.7%
ELS: 78.8%
My stats are on the lower end of the competitive range, but I heard the Houston campus is less competitive than Dallas. What do y'all think? Do I have a good chance of getting accepted?
I don't have any healthcare experience, but I'm a first-generation student and the first in my family to go to college.
I emailed and asked the school, they said Houston is highly competitive they receive about 1200 applicants per cycle and only choose 120, which is why a competitive score of 87% in each subject for TEAS and a 3.8 GPA 😓

Is that going to affect my application or me getting in? Can I still apply while waiting for the transcript? I am just scared they won't admit me bc of it or that it will deem me ineligible immediately.
Hi! No, everything just need to be submitted to nursingcas by the deadline. You do not need to be verified. As long as you have pressed submit on your application, paid, and done the background check, you should be good to go! They should have sent out an email regarding this.

I suggest you call NursingCas to make sure. Like do it now. Cause I just checked and it says they should have recieved it before deadline. I just emailed nursingcas if they received mines too. But I sent it way long ago.
I spoke with the school regarding this, because I paid with a confirmation number but somehow my school email has not received an email to confirm the email nor any message regarding the order. School stated that as long background check has been paid prior to application submission then you're good. Keep the results and the school will ask for it—in time. Hope that helps.

I would say that they definitely play a big role, if you have more unique situations than others they may take that into account. However, im not entirely sure. I wish you good luck! Praying we all get in!

I believe that you cannot apply unless that had received your official transcript just like TEAS, a background check is also required to be in process or completed.
why don't you call or email the school to make sure? If you read all the sections on NursingCas it should state there all the requirements before submitting or at the time of submission of application
