Texas Woman's University (TWU) Fall 2024

Published

Hey there everyone,

Noticed no one made a topic for the twu fall 2024 cohort applications yet so I thought I would do it. Maybe it's just too early, but Im itching to get started! Has anyone already taken TEAS and finished all prerequisites? I'm nervous because I'm transferring in with no previous bachelors so I have no preference.

Hey so Im currently planning to apply for Spring 2025 as a transfer student. I was wondering if they take into consideration other courses used to get an associates degree in your Cumulative GPA. I got my Associates in Business Management so I have a few business classes on my transcript and just wondering if those business classes are counted in cumulative GPA.

I believe any class on your transcript is taken into account for cumulative GPA.

I attended an open house today! they have received over 500 applications for the fall 2024 semester and want to fill 120 spots at each location.

let's stay optimistic!:) it wouldn't do us well to be feeling anxious these next two months.

Also I got a C in Texas government and Federal Government do you think I should retake it or they won't take it into much consideration when looking at my transcript during application process.

they said that they want more Bs than Cs; however, having more As than Bs makes you a competitive applicant.

Last question does repeated classes look bad on your transcript to them?

What else did you find out regarding the admission process, the nursing program and everything in general?

I don't believe it necessarily looks bad if you retook a course for a higher grade or you previously withdrew. you completed the course and that's what should matter. although preference may be given to someone with no retakes or Ws rather than someone with 2 retakes and 4 Ws? (not 100% sure) @Elizabeth Lambo

By "over 500 applications " do you mean for each campus or for both campuses?

there was so much information on the ~ 20 slide powerpoint. they went over free services they offer, vaccine requirements, estimated tuition costs, scholarships, clinical placements, reviewed the prereqs/upper division curriculum, and I got to tour different areas of the houston campus. I would email and ask them for the powerpoint (I believe I read you applied to houston). I think I am going to do the same. from what I remember concerning the TEAS score, an 85% and above is considered competitive. if you submit it onto nursing cas and it shows more than 2 attempts, they contact you to verify it was only 2 for that cycle.

over 500 for both campuses combined. they want to fill 120 slots at each campus (denton, dallas, and houston).
