Hello all! I didn't see a thread for the TWU CRNA class starting in 2025, so I wanted to start one! Feel free to share stats & ask questions!

They provided insight into the interview process, asked a TON of interview questions, and gave feedback on all of my answers. I would highly recommend trying to schedule something before your real interview if you have the time. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions! Also, before I get a bunch of messages asking...I did compensate them for their time (even though they said not to) and it was well worth it.
Me too as well? Thank you very much!

I know you're getting a ton of requests but I would also like the contact info! 🙂 thank you!!

Congrats on getting your interview done? Anything specific to focus on?

Didn't mean the question mark LOL! 🙂
CCRNicu22 said:Of course! I'll send it your way and you guys can chat and figure out where to go from there!
Okay everyone! I am starting to send messages about how to contact someone for the mock interviews. If I miss you, please just let me know and I'll work on it asap 🙂 Thanks!
Can you please send me the contact information. I would love to be able to schedule a mock interview

I'm not Roses_and_poses, but just interviewed yesterday for a Kansas clinical site and can at least chime in regarding my experience, although your mileage may certainly vary. I interviewed individually and due to the weather in DFW my interview was via Teams, although I'm not sure how much difference that ultimately resulted in for the interview itself.
Interview was right around an hour long, and I'd say covered three main things: some general information/behavioral type questions that you'd see in any interview ("Tell us about a time...", "What would you do if...", Education and work history, etc.), clinical knowledge (A&P, Pharmacology, etc.), and clinical decision making (which also includes/expands on the clinical knowledge portion).
I'd say the best way to prepare is what others have said: know about common ICU and ACLS situations, what interventions might be appropriate, why/how that intervention works (example follow-up question for a hypertensive pt might be "How does metoprolol/labetalol/nicardipine/etc. lower BP?") down to what that intervention does at the cellular level (what receptor(s) does it bind to, what effect that has on the cell, why that causes the desired response), and then talking through what course of action you would take when there might be multiple reasonable initial actions (anti-hypertensive vs diuretics, treat for pain/anxiety, what type of anti-hypertensive, any relevant history, contraindications) and your rationale for why you think that's the best course of action. Ultimately it boils down to not only being able to diagnose the problem, but being able to combine your knowledge of A&P and pharmacology to come up with the best course of action after considering everything down to a more granular level, as specifics down at the cellular level may alter your choice in best course of action (using a non-selective beta blocker in a pt with asthma might not be the best choice if other options are available).
Again, your mileage may vary, but based on what I've seen both here and elsewhere, that seems to be a pretty good overview of what you might expect in most CRNA school interviews. Obviously no two interviewers or schools are the same, but knowing the A&P and pharmacology at a more intimate level and using that to come up with a well-reasoned intervention for a given scenario seems to be a common theme. Bit of a novel here, so I'll leave you with good luck on your upcoming interview, and with any luck we'll be meeting each other in DFW in the near future!
