Hey!
I got accepted to Texas Wesleyan's CRNA program for August of this year - yay! I will be moving from central Mississippi to the Fort Worth/Dallas area and was looking for decent places to live. I am not familiar with the area and would love any input on housing (excluding apartments), and any other information about the area!
If anyone else is going to be there this Fall let me know! Would love to meet some other students.
Thanks in advance!

Congrats! Fort Worth should have plenty of decent apartments. R u looking to rent a house?
Thanks! And yes, I am looking to rent a house because I will be moving with my boyfriend and he prefers a house over an apartment (for garage projects & more space). I have heard through the grape vine that the University is not located in the best area; I could possibly be looking to live in the Keller/Irving areas (but once again, I have no familiarity with it).. Something close, not too far from the school but that is affordable ($1300/month or less).

Congratulation! I have a friend that lives in the Fort Worth and says that the living expense is not bad in that area, which is why I eventually want to go there for CRNA.
What kind of questions did you get in your interview? does the school accept students with one year ICU experience? Good luck with everything!
The interview was a mini-CCRN so study up!
And yes, the school accepts students with a minimum of 1 year ICU experience but you must know your specialty like the back of your hand. Most applicants have 3-5 years experience.
Me personally,
1st year experience as a nurse - ADN Nurse in LTACH
2nd year experience " "- BSN Nurse in SICU
3rd year experience " " - RN, BSN, CCRN in SICU
