I'm currently enrolled in the RN-BSN program at Texas Tech. I can tell it's one of the best schools I've gone to! The instructors are very friendly and easy to reach. Having had lots of hands on in the ADN program, you need more of management and research(which you didn't do a whole lot on during the ADN program). It is very unique and focuses on research. It's also accredited.
It's strictly online and you only have to go there only three times. First is the mandatory two-day orientation and the other is the graduation. The graduation is not compulsory. Another very important thing is that you have to do your schedule at work in such a way that you don't work on tuesdays because that's the day you meet and chat with your classmates/instructor if needed.
I work full time(72hrs) and still complete my school work, it's that easy. And the thing that helps me most is that i work ahead and turn in my assignments early, that way, i'm not stressed in any way at all. It's all research work, no tests.. I can't wait to graduate! I started in January and will finish by July! Amazing..hope this helps.

I'm hoping to start my RN-BSN next fall and this really sounds perfect for me!!! What are the pre-reqs? Is it really as easy as you say? January-July??? That sounds awesome!!! Any other comments are greatly appreciated!!!!

I completed my MSN at Tech in a collaborative program. I was very pleased with the program comparatively.
I can tell, it's a very good program. U can log online ti their website to check on the pre-reqs. Yeah, we started in jan and actually gets to graduate next month(May,2007) but would finish the second semester in July. If u are starting in Fall of '08, you may be graduating in spring of 2009. You can call the the school and ask to speak with RN-BSN cordiator. She will give you more details... All the BEST!

I actually started nursing school at Tech in the undergrad BSN program straight out of highschool then finished at the local community college back home after having to move back home for family reasons. After getting by ADN, I did Tech's RN-BSN program. I can tell you that both programs are great, especially the RN-BSN program.
