Texas Tech FNP Fall 2017

Published

I have applied for the fall 2017 semester for the FNP program at Texas Tech University.

I am very anxious and am wondering if those who were recently accepted could tell me what qualifications you had when you applied and whether you were accepted or not.

How is the program any suggestions?

I appreciate all of your input.

Good Morning,

Did your rejection come via mail or email?

Just got my rejection too via email. At least I prepared myself for it. Still sucks though.

I'm sorry for those that didn't get in.

I got my acceptance letter today! I'd love to connect with others as we start this journey

June... I assume you were asking me??

I also received my acceptance email on Friday. I was also accepted at UTA so now I'm trying to decide what program to accept.

I applied to the FNP for Summer 2017. Haven't heard anything yet. I'm beginning to think I may have missed the e-mail. Congratulations to those of you who have been accepted.

I got my acceptance letter last week! My gpa in all undergraduate course work was 3.5, but my nursing gpa was a 4.0 in all RN-BSN courses. I have 7 years ICU experience, and not much for extracurricular activities. Just to answer your question.

Has anyone out there been through the program that can offer insight and how many semesters for the 48 hours or what you thought of the program? I live in Austin and would love to network.

I had a bsn from tech and graduated with a 4.0.

Other than that I've been a nurse for 3.5 years, and 2.5 in a level one trauma unit.

I start in August FNP!!!

Hi Rebecca,

Looks like we both will be in the same program! I was also accepted to Texas State FNP and the program is full time, 5 straight semester so it is appealing compared to Tech at 8 semesters. But it does allow time for work and family life. It's so hard to decide!

Are you planning on working while in fnp? I can't imagine working and 5 semesters. Good luck and congrats. Let me know what you decide. I only applied to tech, made my choice easy lol.

I do know that they were unable to accept all of their qualified candidates for fall.
