I have applied for the fall 2017 semester for the FNP program at Texas Tech University.
I am very anxious and am wondering if those who were recently accepted could tell me what qualifications you had when you applied and whether you were accepted or not.
How is the program any suggestions?
I appreciate all of your input.
I got my acceptance letter last week! My gpa in all undergraduate course work was 3.5, but my nursing gpa was a 4.0 in all RN-BSN courses. I have 7 years ICU experience, and not much for extracurricular activities. Just to answer your question.
Has anyone out there been through the program that can offer insight and how many semesters for the 48 hours or what you thought of the program? I live in Austin and would love to network.
Are you planning on working while in fnp? I can't imagine working and 5 semesters. Good luck and congrats. Let me know what you decide. I only applied to tech, made my choice easy lol.
I do know that they were unable to accept all of their qualified candidates for fall.
Hi Rebecca,Looks like we both will be in the same program! I was also accepted to Texas State FNP and the program is full time, 5 straight semester so it is appealing compared to Tech at 8 semesters. But it does allow time for work and family life. It's so hard to decide!

Good Morning,
Did your rejection come via mail or email?
