Hello all, I was just wondering if anyone applied to Texas Techs RN-BSN online program who graduated from Excelsior and was accepted. I guess I just want to know if they accept excelsiors degree.
I would love to hear from anyone who got accepted or know of someone who has. Thanks

What leads you to think that they wouldn't accept it? All schools that I have seen requirements for RN to BSN stated that the school where the ASN was awarded must have been a regionally accredited college and their school of nursing must be NLN accredited. EC has a long and successful history with the NLNAC.
I was accepted at both well-known schools where I applied for RN to BSN and three universities where I applied for the MSN program, no questions asked. I at least thought they would have some questions about EC, but they all treated it as if I graduated from the community college down the street. I did ask them about it in one of my faculty interviews. They said that they were familiar with EC, and had numerous students throughout the years who were EC graduates, as if it was nothing out of the ordinary for them. And it shouldn't be. After all, you've earned that ASN, and should be proud. All schools where I applied were Georgia-based schools, by the way.
In looking at the Texas Tech RN to MSN program requirements (couldn't find RN to BSN, but why would they be any different?) on their website, it states:
"Graduate from an associate degree/diploma in nursing program accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC)."
I think you will have no problems, at least according to their website. Good luck with your BSN studies!
Thanks
