I haven't seen a thread for those of us applying May 1st to the January 2020 cohort. I'm wondering how heavily they weigh the TEAS. Also, I have heard as long as you meet all criteria they typically give you an interview. Has anyone else heard this? I really like how they take a holistic approach to grant admissions. I'm wanting to apply to UTA but I feel like the main way you get extra points is by attending school there which I did not do! We'll see!

I relocated up to SD from Dallas in January to complete this program. For those of you who are still considering applying to other schools, or are open to relocating out of state for 12 months, this program is still accepting applications through NursingCAS for the Aberdeen campus. Orientation for the Spring 2020 cohort which starts the first week of January is next month. Here is a link to the website. https://www.sdstate.edu/undergraduate-nursing/accelerated-option-aberdeen
Let me know if you have any questions. Texas schools are very competitive, so looking at out of state programs is one way to ensure you are starting a nursing program in January! Let me know if you have any questions!
I applied to WGU. I didn't make the review process. 2.993...go figure. I assumed that they would only average the required courses. I misread that part of the application page. Good luck on your program!
Same! I talked to Cindy on Monday asking if we would know anything by the 11th (yesterday) because yesterday was my last day to withdraw from the classes I'm taking.... she said, "Final decisions have not been made and most likely will not be made until after that date." So I am crossing my fingers for tomorrow! I'm taking two history courses, two government courses, and an art class online. Talk about dry! I need to know I'm admitted so I can gain motivation for these!
For those that didn't see my previous msg, i was told by one of the SA profs that the decision meeting was postponed to this Fri.
There are a lot of graduates from the program where I work (Dell Seton, Austin), and most have said that getting an interview is the biggest challenge. I would think the only peeps who are not accepted are due to some personality/behavioral flaw they perceived during the interview. Just my $0.02.
