Texas Tech Accelerated BSN Program Spring 2017

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello everyone! I currently submitted my application for my bachelor's in Nursing at Texas Tech in El Paso. I have a 4.0 GPA in my sciences, I got a 75 on my HESI, and I have no experience on medical field other than me having my CNA and my clinicals. It's really hard to get a job as CNA or volunteer hours in El Paso, in my opinion. I decided to post on here since there's not a post for Texas Tech BSN Spring 2017. Hopefully we can all let each other know when we get contacted for interviews and if we get accepted into the program and become friends:) Goodluck everyone!

Im not sure, I wasnt aware that there were so many options.

At the EP location they offer the ABSN and RN-BSN.

The ABSN is for first time bachelors (as far as I know) and it lasts for 16 months, or 4 consecutive semesters.

Thats awesome, are you just starting the program?

Don't worry anyone! They haven't sent out emails for interviews yet! I called Bertha and she said the administrative people would get here this week and we could probably hear something by next Friday!:)

That's going to make me crazy!!! ah!

I'm not getting my hopes up though. What if they take longer than next week? í ½í¸ I'm just trying to be patient day by day..I'm still nervous either way!

thats a good way to look at it. Im sure you'll do awesome :) Good luck! I hope we both get interviews!

I'll let you know if I get an interview! And thanks! You'll do awesome too

I see. We just finished the interview portion of the application. Our applications were due a few months ago. If you were invited to an interview, you had to write an essay and schedule your fingerprints. They did our interviews in Lubbock or Austin. They were the last 2 weeks. Now we're waiting to hear if we've been accepted to our site/program. We received a paper at our interview that says there are 3 portions of orientation. 2 are online, 1 is face-to-face at our site in January. It begins in January, and we would graduate in December.

I really had no idea that there was another accelerated program! Especially from TT! Good luck to you all!!

I called Bertha again today but Jeff answered. He said that they're still reviewing the applications and that they might send emails within 2-3 weeks more.

Emails for what? for interviews? I thought they called people to schedule interviews.

Emails for what? for interviews? I thought they called people to schedule interviews.

Yes, for interviews. Everything is done via email.

Nerve wrecking :nailbiting:

I will let you all know if I hear anything. Good Luck to us all!!!
