I just wanted to start a thread for Those who have applied to Texas state SON for the fall of 2018 (:
I took Belzer for anatomy and phys at acc and it was so tough. But man did he teach me so much. He was really straightforward about what nursing would entail and grilled us constantly, making sure nursing, or whatever we wanted to do, was the career we truly wanted. Which I definitely appreciate now.
So I got my background clearance but I didn't get a blue postcard! Rather it was a letter saying I'm able to take the NCLEX. Did anyone else get this? I tried to call the BON but was on hold for awhile.
I pulled this directly from the email that was sent to us...
A condition of admission to the St. David's School of Nursing at Texas State University is being eligible to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN®). Friday, June 15, 2018 at 5PM (CST) is the deadline to submit to the SON one of the following documents:
Blue postcard (actual card)
An Operations Outcome letter – a copy
An Enforcement Outcome letter – a copy
If y'all have any questions regarding the background check, I'd revert to the email that was sent out and double check it. Most of the questions that have been asked are answered in the email.

Are you guys talking about a Texas State University teacher? I'm an external applicant so all of these professors are new to me
