I just wanted to start a thread for Those who have applied to Texas state SON for the fall of 2018 (:

Hi friend! Thanks for the warm welcome :) Yes, typically those who took Pesthy and meet the requirements will be admitted. That seems to be the general trend. I did, and so did most of my TXST peers.

Just so everyone knows, I received my acceptance at 5:02pm 3/31/17 via email. Your letter will be attached to the email. :)

I wonder if they will wait that long since the 31 is a Saturday this year... I was hoping it was going to be coming sooner lol

I bet they will be sent out right after the open house on Saturday. They don't want to be there after they are sent out... last year Friday at 5. If they send them out right after the open house (which some of us might be at) then they aren't faced with questions and such. If they sent them out this Friday then they would have to face some applicants the next day at the open house. I hope that makes sense. That's just what I'm thinking.

I thought about it because it would be nice to see everything, but then again I'm afraid 1. to jinx myself and 2. that I'll fall in love with the place and it'll be an even bigger let down if I don't get in lol...

Does anyone know what the email itself says? I know our admission decision is a letter attached to the email, but I was just wondering what the email itself said :)

Yes, the letter is attached to the email and it comes from Tori again.
