Navarro College sudents or graduates?

U.S.A. Texas

I'm thinking about applying to Navarro College to both the LVN and ADN program. I've heard that it is a good program but that is about it. I don't know anyone who has applied or graduated from there. Also wanted to know how hard is it to get accepted to either program. I will be going to an info session of the Dec. 15th but wanted to get some info before the session. Thanks

Specializes in Postpartum/Nursery.

I haven't heard too much about it, but that could be in your favor! I do know that your credits will transfer b/c it is a community college. Since their program is in Corsicana and Weatherford, it's not as busy or crowded as Dallas and Fort Worth. Good luck to you!

Specializes in trauma ICU,TNCC, NRP, PALS, ACLS.

I was not even aware that Navarro had a nursing program; I agree it might be in your favor. Hope u get into the ADN program.

Thanks Brie2200 and foxyhill21 for your responses. If anyone else has any information or advice I'd really appreciate it.

I would apply somewhere else I was recently in this program last year,

and out of 40 students 25 dropped because this is a hard program, they have instructors that don't know what their doing, and compared to the other programs you read 14 chapters and have to test off of those, and you have to make at least 75% which is find but when you don't have a study guide or you don't know what is gonna be on the test that can be a little complicated. And the instructors don't help the students that are failing Navarro College just pretty much take your money and say the heck with you. :angryfire

You haven't heard of this program because no one wants to go hear, they were on the news with other students saying that this was a bad program to go to, due to the fact that they take nursing students money but you end up failing because the courses are more harder than any of the nursing programs around. :nono:

Save your money and apply else the drop percentage rate for the nursing program here is 75% and I should know because I was one of them.:nono:

Whoever told you that this was a good program lied to you because there is a 75% drop rate in both programs due to this school just takes your money but they don't help there students.
