I got my letter today from Kingwood :lol2:!!!! I'm finally a nursing student :balloons:!!!! I'm soo excited it's crazy . Now, I'm actually kinda nervous but so very grateful because this is the first and only school I applied to. Hope to see all of you in January :yeah:.

:balloons:CONGRATS!:balloons: It's a wonderful feeling, huh? Do you know what order your putting your preferences in? Are you going to the November 26th orientation?

Yes, it's wonderful...I can sleep peacefully now!! I'm scheduled to attend the December 3rd orientation. My preference is evening classes first with clinical on Thur, Fri, Sat. Unfortunately, as an "older" student, I will be one of the ones who will be working and attending school :o but I'm used to it. How about you?

Just to update I got my letter on thursday so it looks like I'll be joining yall this spring! Congrats to us!

:lol2:AWESOME!!!! Did you get into Kingwood or Cyfair?

:lol2:AWESOME!!!! Did you get into Kingwood or Cyfair?

Haha! Sorry I replied in the other thread but I guess not this one! I got in at Kingwood! Actually I haven't heard anything from Cy-Fair, I put them down as second choice, but either way it doesn't matter. Kingwood is 2 minutes from my house so that's where I wanted to go! Who all is going to orientation on the 26th? I'll be there!

Yep- I'm going on the 26th. Did you already turn in your intent to enroll letter? I chose Mon./Tues. days and placed Thursday, Friday , then Saturday as my my clinical choices. How about you?

Yeah I turned in that intent letter last friday. I filled it out the night i got it and then hand delivered it the next morning. I wanted to make sure it got into the right hands and got there right away! Haha! I choose the mon/tues nights first, then saturday clinical, the day class/sat clinical, then nights friday, thursday and last days friday thursday. I'm taking a CNA class right now in case I have to go days, but for right now I want to have the option to keep my corporate job. CNA would be a huge paycut for me, but I will take it if I have too. But we just bought a new house in kingwood so I'd like to keep my current pay as long as possible. We'd still be fine with me taking a paycut, but I have some expensive habits (shopping! shopping! shopping!) that I'm not quite ready to give up! I like being able to buy what I want, but school is my first priority so I'll give it up if I have too (grudingly! :lol2:)

Hi NCLEXEATER!

Congratulations! What do you exactly mean by transition ADN? Could you please explain to me what that means/is? Thanks!

The LVN/Paramedic to RN Bridge program is designed for students currently holding Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Paramedic certification and who are currently working in their field. This is a one-year program consisting of classes in three semesters - summer, fall, and spring.
