Graduate Nurse St. David's

U.S.A. Texas

Has anyone recently accepted a graduate nursing position at st. David's?? If so, I'm very curious about the starting pay for the graduate nurses doing the residency. I've just been offered a position but didn't bring up salary during the interview and truly don't know how to ask about it now. I was offered the job on the spot right after my interview.

Thank you :-)

Thank you!! By any chance do you know how the stipend works with the immersion program? How much that is? Thank you much!

You receive stipend pay (1200) while you are on orientation. Once you are off, you get the GN rate.

Awesome- and it was mentioned we'd also be able to work the time we are part of the residency, but I'm curious if I'll receive only the stipend during that or the stipend as well as the pay rate for the hours worked? I'm sorry! Just trying to make decisions :-) SO lucky to have an amazing community to help answer these for me.

(Sorry if this posts twice, my computer is acting funky.)

So yes, you will be taking classes as well as orienting to the unit you have been hired. During this time, you will receive the stipend pay. Once your residency is over (I believe it's 12 weeks med-surg, 16 weeks for other units), then you will switch over to the GN pay rate.

AWESOME! Thank you so much!! :-)

Hello, I was wondering if anyone has been a part of or heard about the PCU Graduate Nurse residency at the Heart Hospital of Austin. I received a job offer from them and it sounds amazing, but would love some insight into it in order to make my decision easier.

Thank you in advance.
