Anyone else waiting on Spring Letters from TCC?

U.S.A. Texas

I am sure there are at least a few of us. I know our potential stalking of the mail man has just begun. I feel pretty good, but am still terrified.

I also applied to TCC for spring admission. I expect the letters should get to us around the 20th-25th if history repeats itself, so you can probably give your mailman a little break. :)

I feel pretty confident that I will get into the program, but I will be declining since I got into UTA.

Good luck to you!!

Thanks! I know its a bit early, but I am sick of waiting already... ;)

Congratulations to you on UTA!

I would love to have been able to swing those 3 pre req's there this semester to try for spring there, but sadly I couldn't swing it without loans and I'm just not ready to go there yet.

A good friend of mine is taking the classes at UTA this semester and recently got her acceptance there as well, it has exacerbated my anxiety.

I can completely understand that. When I got waitlisted at TCC last semester I just felt in my heart that I wanted to keep moving in that direction. I knew that even if I finished at TCC I would go straight into the RN-BSN program at UTA. So, the way I look at it, I'll finish a semester ahead instead of taking an extra year to have to finish my BSN.

The day is getting even closer for you now!!

One other thing - I'm not sure if you are a student at TCC now or not, but if so, definitely look into Phi Theta Kappa (the honors fraternity). It provides you with some excellent scholarship money should you transfer to a 4 year university. With my academic transfer scholarships and the Phi Theta Kappa money I've gone to school almost free at UTA and they are renewable for three more semesters.

Specializes in ICU, PICC Nurse, Nursing Supervisor.

Question ??? Did you have to do a panal interview and write a essay... I am applying to the fast track at TCC in the spring.. all classes done fairly good GPA. But all this junk you have to do to get into nursing school these days irritates me...lol I guess Im on nursing school application burn out...lol

TCC does not require an interview or essay at least for their regular ASN program. UTA does though.

Thanks, Katy! I will start in January. I think we have orientation the 4th and 5th. I've heard that is a pretty crazy day. I have to take the HESI exam on the 19th of December. I wonder how much like the TEAS it will be.

How are classes for you?? You are getting closer, and closer to the big countdown! :balloons:

For anyone who applied for Spring admission to TCC's nursing program...Could you tell me everything you had to send in with your application? I'm applying for Fall and I want to start getting all of my stuff together. Thank you!

That is sooo super exciting!!! You'll be through before you know it. It really has gone by in a flash. OB/Pedi has been more of a challenge than I think I was prepared for. They are two really short semesters packed full of information. I am passing and for that I am truly grateful. We lost 18 of our classmates the first half of the semester. I'll be able to breathe a huge sigh of relief when Pedi is over. If I'm not mistaken, I think there are HESI study guides out there. I'm sure you are going to do just great!! Congratulations!!!:balloons:
