Hi everyone! Haven't seen a thread for this application cycle so just thought I'd start one. I am applying to UTHealth, Baylor, TCU, and LSU for 2021 start.

My stats are:

GPA: 3.60

GRE: 315 (Q 158/V 157/W 4.5)

CCRN: 104/125

BLS/ACLS/PALS

1.5 years MICU/SICU

So nervous!! (especially for those interviews!!)

Specializes in Medical ICU/L&D.

@Jtjnja I interviewed on the 18th.... I received that email from Amanda as well saying we should know something by Feb 1... I don’t think they send out emails over the weekend... so we have today, tomorrow and Monday... I just wish they would let me know.... I’ve been anxious since my interview.... I think they’ve pretty much made decisions but I hope I’m wrong.... have anyone got rejection letters yet???? Or do they wait until they’ve filled all their spots and send everyone else rejection letters?

@JtjnjaI interviewed the 12th. I know someone who got an acceptance letter three days ago so I think there is still a chance for some! Anyways, still real worried that I haven’t heard back yet and dreading that I may have to wait until Tuesday to find out anything.

I emailed ------------------------ this morning and she emailed me back saying that we may hear something by tomorrow but if not next Friday at the latest... She said that there has been some type of delay because they are still working out kinks with their new crm system... and lastly she said that the new application opens up in March if I want to reapply (I really didn’t know how to take that... I assumed that I didn’t get accepted and I can reapply in March ?) but we will see..

@RN1908 next Friday ?? I don’t think I can do it! Well, at least March isn’t far off. All we can do is keep trying!

I only applied to TWU this go round... the only thing about reapplying, is that I hate having to ask people to give me a reference all over again... I really wanted to get In this time but like you said all we can do is keep trying! God’s timing is everything though!  How did you think your interview went? @mswhitley0371 I did OK but I got nervous and messed up on a few questions that I really knew...

@RN1908 yeah, that part is hard but my references understand and have told me they all had to do it and that I shouldn’t feel bad for asking. So, that was comforting! Yeah my interview went horribly. I had just gotten off night 4 of 5 at a new job and I just didn’t set myself up for a successful interview. Anyways I don’t like to make excuses! I was super nervous and like you said, couldn’t mutter out an answer to easy things I obviously knew. It was my first interview ever and def will use it as a learning experience. They were so nice though, so I am hoping to get to interview again if I don’t get in this time. Hang in there! Well get in whenever and wherever we’re supposed to.

For everyone still waiting for answers... hang in there! I was interviewed back in October. A couple of people were told on the spot that they had gotten accepted. Others (like me) were notified 2-3 weeks after. And then the rest were notified up to a week after me! So it seems like they send out notifications randomly.

Good luck to you! We will get in somewhere! Just keep the faith and keep moving forward! @mswhitley0371

I applied In September and was waitlisted. Amanda said they should be taken more people off the waitlist. I notice the class size went from 100 to 105 so that probably why some people were taking off the waitlist..I’m just going to continue to pray.

I am declining my offer so I hope that helps someone, good luck!

Myself and a friend were both accepted to TWU and turned it down for a local school. That will open up at least two spots! Keep your heads up!!

@TraumaQueenRN Did you just decline your offer or did you do it with the first set of interviews. Either way I pray it helps and good luck on the school you going to
