Texas CRNA 2021 Application

Hi everyone! Haven't seen a thread for this application cycle so just thought I'd start one. I am applying to UTHealth, Baylor, TCU, and LSU for 2021 start.

My stats are:

GPA: 3.60

GRE: 315 (Q 158/V 157/W 4.5)

CCRN: 104/125

BLS/ACLS/PALS

1.5 years MICU/SICU

So nervous!! (especially for those interviews!!)

Yeah I was worried about it being group and thought it would be awful but it went well. There was just one other student in mine. They would say who certain questions were for before asking so that we weren't talking over each other then for others they would say whoever wanted to answer could and then would let the other student(s) have a chance to answer the same question or add to it.

I got the first question and it was interpreting an EKG which led to treatment for it. Ton of cardiac questions and of course drugs and different drips I have personally used in ICU. Most of the interview was clinical with just a few personal questions like support system, how u handle stress, etc. Also had some math and logic questions

Hi 1989anp,BSN,  the EKG strip like MI or cardiac rhythms??

Wait, where did you guys see if it was a group or individual interview? I must have missed this?

I had to identify what the rhythm was then tell what I would do about it.

All those who got an interview, did you receive a pre interview survey? Also, last year I got a link for a video to watch prior to the interview, but I didn’t get that this year?

Yes I noticed that, but one of the questions is “Did you watch the video”. I don’t know how to answer?

I just got the pre-interview email too and have looked EVERYWHERE for this video link and have found nothing!! I’m glad I’m not the only one! I even tried googling videos but I’m not sure what I’m looking for. I’d hate to say “yes”! Is this a trick question??? LOL

I got thesame pre interview survey email. Was thinking we should email ------------------- and ask her how to find the link for the video, probably she'll be able to tell if there is actual video or not. Or it might be that they supposed to send video link before the survey. Just my thought
