Hi! I haven't noticed a thread made for this year, but I know I am not alone in applying to CRNA school, figured a way for everyone to share updates and stats! Super scary/exciting applying this year but I wish everyone the best!

My stats:
GPA 3.70, GRE 307 4.5 writing, CCRN, 2 years now as a CVICU RN. I have taken organic chemistry 1 in the fall.

RGV, Houston, Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, El Paso, and Colorado.

Anyone know if UT Houston is still sending out interview invitations? I haven’t heard anything from them yet.

Did anyone get additional information about the UT Houston interview after accepting the invite?

I got an interview with both UT and Baylor. My prep consisted of practicing basic interview questions in the mirror. I watched lectures from current CRNA's and I used topics and key words that they used in their lecture during my interview. Thats especially important for questions like "What does a CRNA do?" Or "Why do you want to be a CRNA?" I have over seven years of ICU experience so I was already sound in my hemodynamics and drips. I got waitlisted by a school last year and it's because I bombed the interview so I practiced my interview skills non stop. It really helped.

I’m still pending a decision email from them.

I filled out the form they sent but haven't heard anything additional since the initial email!

I just found some video's on Youtube. not quite sure which ones I watched. The video did bring up some good points that I used in my interview. Topics like the expected growth of the field and the importance of policy making and being active outside of the OR. I felt those topics really engaged them and we had a discussion about it.

So, still haven’t heard anything from TCU, as of yet. I was informed that decisions have been sent out already via email. They were going to investigate further to see why I haven’t received an email yet.

If you are still missing an email from TCU. Maybe call tomorrow and let them know.

I called their main office number and emailed them.

hopefully tomorrow they give us an answer.
