Texas Christian University (TCU) CRNA 2024

Published

Hello everyone! Applications for TCU CRNA have opened for Spring 2024. I was looking for a forum for this application cycle but didn't see one and decided to start one! I am working on my application and studying for the GRE currently. Best of luck to everyone!

The anxiety is real!

Who knows right? I'll be checking my email all the time all week long.. It will be OK! ?

Nope ??? Not yet!! But we will! ??

Has anyone talked to someone regarding when we should hear back?

The confirmation email I got confirming my application is complete said by June 30

so probably Friday at 5pm LOL

Does anyone know if the GRE is a hard minimum for TCU? You have to get at least 150 each and 3.5 for the writing? Or if you do poorly on the GRE, do they take everything into consideration?

I asked them about GRE minimum scores in the past, and they said they take everything into consideration!

Well that's good to know. Does anyone know anyone who got into TCU with a low GRE score?

I'm in the program now. They do look at your application as a whole. I know someone who is a year ahead of me with combined 302 and 3.5 writing. You can't judge a person strictly by a test score and the faculty understands that. I believe it was Dr Ward that said quantitative scores have correlated with success in the program just FYI, although they lose very few students because of academics. They are dedicated to your success in the program and to my knowledge, only 1 student was not successful due to grades in the 2024 cohort.

I am in the cohort in front of this one and during the whole interview process they really seem to look at the whole package of you as a person. For me, they looked at my previous failures and how I'd had to overcome them, how they would make me better going forward, and really seemed very caring about the emotional intelligence aspect of nursing in general. I was you guys just a year ago! I understand the anxiety and the constant refreshing waiting for an interview date and time! You're going to do great.
