Hi, just wanted to start a thread for anyone who applied to TCH for the residency program. Please share any info you know about the upcoming program!

Is everyone from Texas? Did anyone else get an email saying they would call on Monday or Tuesday?

So did anyone else see in the offer letter that our unit could change after 6 months?

Hmm I just reread mine and it says permanent placement unless I missed something

The way I read it is that this is our residency unit and then they talk to us about unit and shift preferences throughout the 6 months and then permanently place us on a unit based on unit and shift needs of the hospital

Does anyone know roughly how many hours we will be working a week? I know obviously 36, but plus classroom time (I think we still get payed for that) and the extra time we stay before and after shift for report and stuff? Trying to figure out how much I can afford in rent!

I just calculated it for 36 hours a week and I'm working day shift so 26.50/HR. Do that anything extra I make will just be more of a bonus haha and I can afford 1120 a month with a car payment of 350 but I also have no loans
