I already posted once but I cant find it so if you are reading this for a second time, I apologize! I am currently working as an LVN and I am getting ready to begin my RN nursing school. I have a declaratory on file with the BON but in order to sit for RN, you basically have to sign another order and submit a statement saying there have been no changes. I sent this information to the board via mail. I called to check the status two days ago and they said they have not received it yet and require 10 business days to process. So I faxed it because my 10 days were up and they still have nothing from me. Now they say they cannot confirm receipt of the fax for another 10 business days. Anyway nothing I can do about it now, it is in the boards hands. But as you can guess this is really putting me in a bind with the school and I am now facing the possibility of losing my spot. I know there is nothing I can do to rush the board. They could care less. But how often can I call them to make sure they received either my original letter or the fax without putting negative marks in my file? I would at the very least like to confirm receipt of the information! And yes I have learned to send things via certified mail in the future when dealing with the BON. Does anyone have any information on this? Had to deal with this before?
