I just was told that nursing schools in general are making the switch to requiring Anatomy 1 and Physiology 1 instead of Anatomy AND Physiology 1. As well as for A&P2 Classes.
First, is this true?
Second, would they make us retake the classes over again?

I never took anatomy & physiology as separate classes. It was A&P I & II.
That's what I am taking too. None of this that I heard was official, just hearsay.

From what I've seen in requirements from various places, you should be safe with the mixed AP1 (A) AP2 (B) courses. I know I have the option to take them as a stand alone semester of one each, but the timing is terrible for working full time. I don't want to get out of class close to 11pm! Yuck.

I am sure they will grandfather you in or else it would be waste of money. I think anatomy and physiology should be separate. My anatomy and physiology classes were pretty much just anatomy. My advanced physiology class though is all physiology which I really like.

I depends on the school. I know of one local school that has anatomy and physiology as separate courses, so you have to take Anatomy 5 credits and physiology 5 credits. Most schools that I've looked at though are still A&P1 (5 cred) and A&P2 (5 cred) as what they offer. The nursing programs I've looked into don't seem to care so much which format it is so long as you have 10 quarter credits anatomy and physiology from whichever sequence you took.
