Hey Everyone!! I plan on applying to TAMUCC for spring 2018 eline. I haven't seen any threads about spring 2018 so I thought that I would start.
My stats
Overall GPA 3.7
Science GPA 3.5
I plan to take the Hesi in may.
I do have a few questions. Is foreign language required to apply? Can you take patho and pharm at another four year university or do you have to take it at TAMUCC. If there is anyone currently in the program I would love to get your insight on the program.
I am! I didn't do to horrible on the patho test...I'm nervous about the Pharm one coming up next Monday too...I'm really committing to studying this weekend and getting back on track, it's been crazy busy and all this unknown has me unmotivated this week. I just received a response to my email to Mr. Ramos, he said that the Military applications went to Dr. Hamilton yesterday so they should be receiving decisions to who will be in the military program. He also stated that we would get an email....so here's to more waiting.
Check your TAMUCC email for your decision letter. I was accepted... SO EXCITED!!!
I am taking my HESI tomorrow and plan on applying for the summer 2018 program. I am nervous, and concerned about the time allotted to take the test. Can anyone give me some pointers? What exactly is critical thinking? I know these sound dumb but I am constantly fighting against over thinking.
I have a 3.8 Science GPA, 3.67 overall GPA so I am hoping if my test anxiety gets the best of me, my GPA will carry me over. Has anyone heard what the acceptance rate is for summer sessions?
Thanks everyone!

Since you get to choose what section to test at a time, I would recommend you do your reading first. The time allotted for the entire test is enough to get you through the entire test. Don't be so anxious of the timing, but dont work too slow either. I am a slow reader but managed to still have 30 mins left when I finished the entire test. Critical thinking is to test your rationale as to what you would do in a given circumstance. for example, in a triage room, which patient would have a priority..and it will list the patient's condition. a life threatening condition (chest pain for example) will take priority of course.
Someone else may have a different approach and advise. Best of luck in your test.
Hi guys! Does anyone know when the mandatory orientation will be? I haven't heard a word about that. Also, any idea when the due date to get everything in is? The fingerprints, drug test, vaccinations, etc? I have done everything i'm just waiting to hear back from the BON. They take really long!
