Texas A&M Commerce Fall 2017

Published

Hi everyone! I am planning on applying to TAMUC Nursing program for Fall 2017, I know it is kind of early but I want to start a thread to see who else is applying for the program and exchange information.

i just sent them both! (:

Thank you so much!! Does that mean we have to complete all the classes before applying? Or can you have some in progress at the time and completed before starting the nursing program? Does anyone know?

you can still be in progress, since you apply the year before. those just have to be done before you can start the actual program

Hi everyone, I am also applying to Texas A&M Commerce nursing program for fall 2017. As far as my stats go I have a 3.5 gpa in my supports courses. On my Hesi I made a 84 on Reading Comprehension, 80 on A&P, 79 overall English score, and 94 on Math. My average on Hesi is 82.40%.

I dont know if I should retake my Hesi since they are low. I am a little scared, I know getting into their nursing program is competitive.

So I talked to an Academic advisor and she told that they don't require the critical thinking portion anymore.

You have the same Hesi average score as me. I will just go ahead and apply. I applied already to some other schools. If you are not comfortable with your score, you can go ahead and retake it. But you have to be sure if they will take your highest score or go by your most recent average/ score.

I am glad they don't need the critical thinking section anymore! And I am not sure they still need the A &P as well. Did they tell you they need the A&P section? I will have to email them to be sure.

I confirmed today that they no longer require the A&P and the critical thinking section.

So they don't require both A&P I and II?

So they don't require both A&P I and II?

No I meant for the Hesi A2 test. They do require A&PI and II

Took the HESI on 2/25 and got an overall score of an 81.20 (includes A&P and Math)

I think I'm content with my grade. I spoke to someone today and they told me you can retake individual parts of the test if you would like to raise the score of a particular section.

Are y'all typing or handwriting the application? I know the narrative has to be handwritten.

I haven't started yet. Waiting to hear from UTA. If I don't get in there (which I hope I do). Then I start working on my application for TAMUC.

Has anyone heard anything about how long it will take to get notified after the deadline May 22? If you aren't accepted will you still be notified either way?

I am sending my application in on Monday.

Do we have to send the HESI score to the school? Or just send in a copy the score report?

Also I believe they do not start to view applications until the deadline.

I recently took the HESI just to raise my grammar score and my stats are

Reading: 88

Grammar: 80

Vocabulary and Knowledge: 90

Math: 88 (is this included?)

Average: 86.5
