Hi everyone! I am planning on applying to TAMUC Nursing program for Fall 2017, I know it is kind of early but I want to start a thread to see who else is applying for the program and exchange information.

Have you taken the HESI?

I took Hesi for UTA which is my first choice.

Math 90

Comp 84

Grammar 78

Vocab 76.

UTA only needs you to get a 75 on each section.

My average was 82%

Texas a&m needs the critical thinking section but I did not take that. Now I am trying to see if I can take only the CT part without retaking the whole test! Texas a&m commerce is my plan B!

I take my HESI February 22nd. My study guide just came in today. Do you have an advice?

And TAMUC is my 3rd choice however the other programs I am applying to don't start until next spring.

I am a little skeptical about the program because it is not that much information about it out there.

I am skeptical as well because I have heard quite negative things about the program. And it is commerce is like 1hrs 30mins away from me. What other schools will you be applying to? For the Hesi, I will just say go through everything on the study guide. And focus more on your weaker areas.

I'll be applying to UTMB, UT Health-Houston, and UT-Tyler. I live in Houston to I would have to relocate.

OKay. Did you take the Teas? I live in Dallas I will have to commute. I hope I get into UTA! Hopefully someone who knows more about the program can leave a comment here. I don't want to retake Hesi. My overall is 82% and GPA 4.0..

Congrats on how far along you all have come thus far! What a journey! Luckily it's almost over and you're getting closer to the finish line. I stumbled upon this thread after callen20 posted on the other thread and I thought to give you all as much input as possible since I too was once in your position. I'm a current student in TAMU-C's nursing program and am set to graduate next year. I'm only a semester in but I can give you as much information as what I currently know and have observed so shoot away! :)

Yes I have but I plan on taking is a second time after I take the hesi.

Please can you tell us more about the program.? I took the hesi made 82% without the Critical thinking. I am trying to see if I can take the critical thinking only. But my GPA is 4.0. How far do people commute to school and how many days a week do you have to be in school? I feel with my hesi score, I may not have a good chance of Geeta in though it is my 2nd choice.

Wow thanks so much! So is the program a full 2 years? I see that you're one semester in but will graduate next year?

Also do you know how many people that accept a year?

Oh and how is your experience thus far? (Seems like there aren't too many positive comments)
