Test in a week! Need Advice!

Published

Hey, everyone!

I'm a new grad who just graduated last May. I'm about to take the NCLEX next week. I've been lurking on this site for quite sometime now, reading about everyone's advices and how they prepped for the test, and, well, now I need advice on my own. My anxiety over this test has been skyrocketing recently because of my low scores on my practice exams. I've been using mostly Kaplan and a little of the Saunder's book (but only for info I couldn't find in Kaplan's content review guide).

I've been doing the Qbank and lately, all I've been getting is from mid 40s to the mid 50s. It's averaging about 50% now, and I'm about 350 questions away from the completing the Qbank. And yes, I have been reading rationales to all of my answers.

So far, my Q-trainer test scores are:

Q1: 48%

Q2: 46.7%

Q3: 51%

Q4: 46%

Q5: 55%

Readiness was 48% but I took it way before any of the Qtrainers or the Qbanks.

I haven't gotten around to doing Q6 and Q7; as a matter of fact, I'm almost scared of doing them because I'm afraid of seeing low scores again. I've been studying for 2 months now, and while I feel like I've retained alot of information, clearly my test scores don't show it. My brain is crashing, and at this point, I just feel like giving up and winging the test. I guess you could say I'm fairly depressed and it's only my anxiety that's talking. But with these super depressing test scores, I'm just flabbergasted and really don't know what to do...
