I found out today that I will not be starting in the fall, but will have to wait until the spring to start in the nursing program. I realize one semester isn't the end of the world, but I really, really thought I would get to start in September.
I will be finished with all my prereq's in August, so I guess I will get some sort of temp job for the fall.
I knew this would probably happen and I thought I was prepared, but I guess I was secretly hoping everything would work out as I wanted.
Thank you all for your support and kind words! I was feeling really disappointed yesterday, but I'm better today. At least I am going to be able to start in January. So many people have to wait much longer than that.
The nursing advisor told me that a few years ago they had empty spots in the nursing program every semester. Now they get hundreds more applicants than they have room for.
