Terminology flash cards "How to"?

Hi all! I want to thank everyone for all of your advice and suggestions. You have been a tremendous resource!

Today I got a packet that has all of our syllabi, schedules, etc in it. It also has the terminology for our quizes that we have on Fridays. There are 27 words for each quiz. At the bottom of the sheet is says:

"Instructor will choose random words for spelling, definition, matching, fill-in-the-blank, and true or false questions. If definition says relate to or pertains to...must look up the word that follows. Remember this for all words this semester. Will only accept definitions from Mosby's or medication book."

My question is: How do I do flash cards for these? I was going to put the word on one side and the definition on the other. However, when I looked up "Hepatitis" in my tabers, there's a whole page dedicated to it. So what info do I include on the flash card? I have a tendency to be unable to shorten things and end up copying the whole thing.

Any advice?

Since it is terminology, he probably wants just the definition and not everything about it. So, does your Taber's or Mosby's have a glossary in the back? That would give a concise definition.
