I applied for a job at a local hospital (So. Calif), interviewed, and received a job offer. HR was so bad I turned down the offer. About a month later I received a letter of termination. I don't know if I was fired, or I quit:chuckle I never worked one day for them, and never was scheduled to work for them. I can't cut thru the red tape to find anything out. Oh, and they signed me up for health insurance. I never asked them to do this, I never even filled out the paperwork for health insurance. Any words of wisdom?

RE Agent, this also happened to me about 10 years ago. I sent a certified letter to the hospital in question stating the facts as they happened. I asked that they change their records to reflect what really occurred. I kept copies of everything, including the return receipt from the certified letter.
About 5 years later I got a letter acknowledging the error and sending me a check for 72$...covering my interview time and clerical expense!
Whoever said hospitals are unorganized wasn't kidding. With takeovers and mergers, it gets even worse.
