Temporary LVN License (sacramento, CA)

Published

Should I get a temporary LVN License. I was told that unless the number shows on the BON website, we can't work anyway. I live in Sacramento, CA. I paid for my license yesterday. Should I get one....When will my license come in? Does any 2015 test takers have some input? Thanks.

Are you certain you can apply for a temp license after passing the nclex? Usually a temp is requested & paid for at the time of initial application for a license by examination

I have passed my NCLEX and I paid my initial License Fee Yesterday. I live 5mins away from the BVNPT, so its not that big of a deal for me to hop back over there.

Check the application but temp permits are requested when you initially apply then expire once you take the NCLEX. You may be able to obtain your actual license in person though

Oh, So why did she ask me if I want a temporary license. Ill have to call today.

I passed December 2015 and obtained my temporary license 2 weeks ago from BVNPT- just got hired the other day! I just showed them my temporary license. The temp license came with the date you got it and the expiration date, usually around 3 months. It will also state there that you are free to practice your license.

Hi there. I have a question. If you were to go to the office for the temporary license, do you need to get an appointment or you can just walk in and request it? Please i needym your help.

You can just walk in. I would go first thing in the morning. There is literally only a handful of people in the office that's why it's so slow.
