Ok, this is it I finshed the LPN program in 8/09, I have been prepairing since I finsihed, this is my problem. I am a nursing student with a documented learning disability who was reciving accomendatiotime) when need in school (ie. note taker, extended test taking time ect.). I am entitle to recive some of the same accommendations when taking the NCLEX (ie. extended time), however they need me to provide them with all this documentation from verious sources (ie. medical recods, letters, ect) and I have been working on it for sometime now and it has been a long process for one reason or another. Once I get the needed documentation and simit it to the borad I still have to wait for a descion which could take a while. So, I have made the chioce to go with out the accomendation for many reason one b/c I am expreince sooooo much stress over this exam, next all my classmates have taken it and passed, finally I am currently unemploryed and I need a job like yesterday. I put off working once I finshed school so I could dovote my time to studying for the NCLEX.

It is hard to decide what would be best as you may fail (not saying you will just may) and you may then decide to go with accommodations next time and the BON may question why you didn't do it the first time
Best of luck in whatever you decide

i agree with silverdragon....go with what you know.... you have a documented learning disability.
regardless of how long it will take to get final approval, use whatever avenues are being made available to you....the accommodations!!
in the meantime, continue to study. maybe, you can study less (1 hour instead of two....50 questions a day instead of 100...) until you get the results from your state board. then, once you receive approval---which i am sure you will--put yourself back on track with a 2-3 week intense review and take your boards...and pass!!!
good luck!!!
