I'm applying to multiple nursing schools in my state system for the Fall of 2019 so I'm beginning to study now. I figured its never too early and I'm at a slight disadvantage because I will only have completed A&PI, not II, by test time.
However, my question is about the 3 different tests. The majority of the schools (there are about 15 community colleges in NY) require TEAS but there are some I'd like to apply to that require Kaplan or HESI. What are the big differences? I've been studying TEAS books for the past 2 weeks. I'm able to get additional books for HESI and Kaplan but I'm just curious from anyone that has taken the tests how they are different?

I've taken the teas and the hesi. The teas, in my opinion is much more difficult than the hesi. What I like about the hesi is they let you pick the order of subjects while the teas is in the order of reading, math, science, grammar. Every program varies with subjects for the hesi, my school had biology, chemistry, math, reading, and grammar. If you have an extra few bucks, it wouldn't hurt to purchase a teas test from the ati website later on in the game when you exams are approaching to give you an idea. I believe its 46 dollars and you get to take the test twice.
