how long should you study and how long does it take to get your test results back? do they mail results?

I took this test last December, and you should study until you feel relatively comfortable with the information. Im not sure if its like this everywhere, but i got a printout of my results the same day as i took the test. as soon as i was finished it allowed me to print the results and it gave details, like what you got in which section, how many questions wrong, right, percentage, your score in comparison to the average in the nation, as well as you vs the average in your schools program etc.

I studied for a week until I felt comfortable and had taken all of the practice test available. I also did the the weekend after my first week of Micro and AP. This worked great because I got a basic biology and chemistry review the first week of those classes and it helped me tremendously. I also got my score right after I was done.

I havent taken Micro yet and I am currently in A&P I. I am so nervous. I am taking it on Thursday and I have not had much time to prepare. I am taking 6 classes right now and every time that I planned on studying I ended up having to study for 2 tests (for school). I didnt know that we needed Micro... now I am more nervous. I need to stop reading these forums... I think it is making it worse for me. haha

Lol I know how you feel. There was nothing about microbiology on the TEAS. It is all basic biology. And I had not taken human anatomy either and I still got an 83% on science. If you have the study guide and you take the practice test and don't think they are too bad then chances are you will do fine. My biggest tip would be to practice long hand math. I did, and I was done in time with no problem, but I have quite a few friends who ran out of time.

Believe it or not... I am not so worried about the math. I was originally and I studied a few months ago just to make sure that I knew most of it. I need to work on roman numerals and figuring out ml...L... cm... mm. I am freaked out about the science. I did horrible on the practice test and when I try to sit down and read the study manual... it is just so boring!!! haha. Plus I am trying to keep my grades up with all my classes. At this point I am going to study a little every day and cram the night before for a few hours. Other then that there is nothing else I can do. I just need to hope for atleast a 60.

If all you need is a 60 you should be golden! At our school you don't have to have a specific score, but the higher you get the higher your entrance score is so you just want to do as well as you possibly can. The math was really easy. I was struggling in the science portion as well on the practice test, but I got an 83% on the science. Who knows, maybe I just guessed really well? :D I took the practice test in the study guide and I also payed the $70 and did it on the ATI website. I never got about a 79% and I got an 84.7 on the real thing.

How long it take to study depends on your previous knoledge about the different subjects you will testing on. If you a good at math, english, and did well on your science, you are likely to spend lest time studying for the teas.

For the test result also, it is available as soon as you done taking the computerized version. However, it may take a couple days if you take the paper version. Good luck.

thanks so much for the advice. Im planning on taking it in 2 weeks. Im pretty good in math just planning on looking over the study guide. Science is the only part that scares me so I am going to focus more on it and look over everything else. My school is the same way, the highest grades are the only ones who get excepted so my fingers are crossed to get in this august.

I just took my test last week, & am waiting to figure out the results. Of course Science was the worst for me. I did not do good at all on any of the practice tests, & my school only requires us to take AP Survey to start the LVN progam. So...I really didn't know much on the Science section. I'm really nervous!! Anyone know where I go to get my results?

test results are available online within 24 hours. i had to register to take the test on this website: http://www.atitesting.com/home.aspx

i purchased the online practice tests and the study manual which also has a practice test within.

the test consists of questions on anatomy and physiology, physics, chemistry, math, and a little section on grammar.

some people are knowlegable on these subjects and get great score--while the average person gets a bad score if they are not prepared and did not study well.

most people should study for about 3 months.

I took the TEAS V last week. I did quite well. As mine was an online test, I received the results immediately. What I can definitely state is that the online prep was pretty close in format to the real thing. The only significant difference is that you'll see several questions per page instead of one at at time like the online practice test shows you. That's such a minor difference that it's almost not worth mentioning. I studied, did the practice tests in the book, took the online practice test, studied where it showed I need some weakness and proceeded to do very well on the exam. I will NOT be retaking the test... I doubt I'd be able to do any better. Really. I got an 88% and needed 67 for program entry.
