Hi,
I just passed it yesterday, 80%. I used the ATI TEAS V book. I made a notecard for every bold term and took several pages of notes to go over. It was all exactley like the book except for the science section. The test was a bit harder in science than the book led me to believe. After I studied the book for 2 months, I took the tests in the back of the book with a timer. I averaged in the hi 80's. I would really crack down on the science though. Like all the cell parts, what they do. How vitamins affect cells and enzymes. How to balance chemical reactions. Atomic parts and their principles in ionic and covaelent bonds. DNA vs RNA. What is unique to RNA vs DNA. How to read a CODON chart.
Good Luck!!

Moved to TEAS forum for more response.

Exactly. I feel as though I'd have a harder time with the science portion. Only because it was so long ago since I learned it. Ugh

I just took the TEAS V yesterday for the first time and was shocked with my scores of a 92.7%! I would say definitely invest in the ATI Study Guide and the practice tests. Two other invaluable resources for me--I, like you, was most concerned with science--were Khan Academy and the "Crash Course" videos on YouTube with Hank...total lifesavers! In all of my practicing, I always fell at about a mid to upper 60% in Science...on the actual exam, I scored an 89% in that section! Study hard and be disciplined! And get up and take a break/go to the bathroom between each sections!!!

For me, the ATI study book was very good for all sections except Science. The only reason I did well on the Science portion was because I have had a lot of repeated exposure to the particular topics tested. The Math section of the study book was especially good - I HATE math, and expected to score relatively low, but I scored 100% on that section.
I didn't use any other printed resources besides that book, but I did use Khan Academy like the poster above. It is a very good resource!
On the exam, I would suggest going through the section more than once to make sure you actually marked the answer you intended to mark. When you reach the end of a section, go back and re-read any questions that made you pause on your first run-through. I have found that if I move on from a question that gives me trouble, and come back to it at the end, it is easier to think through it and arrive at a solid answer.

It's been awhile since I took the TEAS, but I purchased a study book from B&N. It's kind of like you know it or don't know it. I just recommend using that and you should be good to go.

My friend gave me her ATI study guide. She barely used it so it's almost like its brand new. I'll take everyone's advice! Thanks a lot & good luck.
