TEAS V

Nursing Students TEAS

Hello everyone,

The TEAS sticky is great for general TEAS questions, but I wanted to start a more specific TEAS thread for TEAS V.

For anyone who has taken both 4.0 and V, was there a big difference? If so what are the differences?

Is it okay to use the 4.0 study guide for V?

Did you take the online practice exams for both? Is it worth it to take the V practice exam if you have already taken 4.0 at least once.

If you took the V practice exams, how was it? Would you recommend it?

Please list anything else that is helpful.

I purchased the ATI TEAS V manual and later decided to do the online practice tests as well. I highly recommend purchasing the ATI TEAS V complete study guide which includes the manual and the online tests for two reasons: it is much more cost effective and the online tests are much more difficult and cover more in-depth material. If you are like me and have been out of school more than twenty years (yikes...am I really that old!) than it is worth the money. I take my test Saturday so I'll keep you posted.

Im also taking the teas v tomorrow and im kinna nervous now since i only used the old version of the manual as a study guide.I wasnt thinking there will be any difference. Now its almost too late to get the Teas v edition.I just hope i do well.Any advice for me as to what to look out for?

Thanks

Abby

Where can I buy the manual and on-line tests study guide? What does "ATI" stand for? I am really new to this as you can see!

I am gearing up to take TEAS V, and just yesterday I decided to take one of the practice assessments to get a taste of how the test is going to be and just what I needed to spend some extra time studying.....

I got a 76.7% overall. so now I'm really curious to know what kind of score that is. I found the science section to be harder than I had anticipated (( I really thought I was okay in that dept--NOT)) A lot more chemistry than I would've liked..... and I struggled w the algebra section!~no surprise there.

if you've taken it...please share your TEAS V scores~~thanks!!

I ordered the TEAS V manual on Amazon and paid $22.77, something like that. The ATI website is selling it for $42  ... seriously, a little Googling goes a long way ...

ATI stands for Awful Testing Incident .... :D

LMAO ... could not resist .... actually, it's Assessment Technologies Institute, the company that administers the test.

I took my test last Thursday... and my scores are still not posted on the ATI website... I'm guessing something went wrong here... I'M SO ANXIOUS TO SEE MY SCORES!!! haha

P.S. The forum has helped a lot! Thanks guys!

So how did you do PAMQ? And was there a lot of Chem questions. I take my exam this Friday and I'm super nervous! I've been going through the chemistry like a mad women lol Also I've been reading that there is not that many AP questions. Is that true?

Did any one order the TEAS V study guide? did that help?

I ordered the TEAS V study guide,(haven't taken the test yet) and everything I've read here, people say it really helps. There's no way I wouldve taken the test without the study guide. It gives you an idea of what to expect. I even took the online pre-assessment test and I'm glad again, to know what to expect on the actual test. I am not taking any chances!

Okay so I got my scores back... My scores are actually pretty bad, but there it goes:

Overall score: 86.0%

Percentile rank- national: 97

Percentile rank- program: 94

Reading: 83.3%

Percentile rank- program: 79

Math: 96.7%

Percentile rank- program: 98

Science: 83.3%

Percentile rank- program: 94

English: 73.3%

Percentile rank- program: 72 :/

PAMQ- Good job! That's a good score. How was the science section? I take mine tomorrow now and I have been stressing about the science section all day today. Heard it was pretty hard. I have both the ATI study guide and the Mcgraw-Hill.

PAMQ...why do you think that's a bad score??? from everything I'm hearing/seeing, that is actually an awesome score!!! I heard the national mean is like 68% or something. I'm hoping for something similar ...imo~GREAT JOB

((which btw, I'm taking tomorrow...ugh...but I feel ready, so we'll see)) :uhoh3:
