Hello guys,
I am on my last pre-requisite course this semester. If all goes well, my GPA will be a 3.6. I will be taking my TEAS score in a couple of days which I am quite nervous about. I was wondering what TEAS score I need to get in order to balance out my GPA. I am hoping to score at least a 90% on my TEAS to help outweigh such a low GPA. Please let me know. Thank you.

Depends entirely on your program, how it prioritizes your stats, and how competitive the program is. So it's hard to say one way or the other.

It all depends on what your program is looking at. I just got accepted to my program! I had a 3.1 high school GPA and 2.9 college GPA, and my TEAS score was 80.7%. If your school isn't too competitive I'm sure you'll be good!!!

I had a 3.8 GPA (As in AnP and Chem and every elective complete with only my core nursing classes left to take). I received a 83% on the TEAS, which put me in the 91st percentile (TEAS 6 has about a ten point lower average score than the TEAS 5). Still I was waitlisted at my community college ( OCC in Syracuse, NY). Advisors were shocked and told me there's nothing I did wrong and nothing they'd recommend improving (even though I likely will) and that I was a very strong applicant and they were very surprised. They insisted I must be high on the wait list but nothing is guaranteed since they don't disclose what ranking is. My school is based off points; no essays or interviews. My point is, I thought I was very likely to get in and yet....here I am. Apply to multiple schools and do every little thing possible to get in! Every point matters! Good luck!

As someone who was in the same boat as you a few months back (same GPA, same worries), I know how you feel!
To paraphrase what mitcheml98 and idkmybffjill have said, your competitiveness is really dependent on the program's criteria. More application components could mean more opportunities to bolster a lower GPA. Do they require interviews, essays, and/or prior experience, or is it completely numbers-based? My program, for example, uses a point system; the only criteria are overall GPA, science GPA, overall TEAS score, and TEAS Reading score. I knew that to make myself competitive, I needed to kill it on the TEAS. A month and a half of studying, 2 attempts, and a super-score later, I had a 93.6% and was accepted into one of the most competitive cohorts my program has ever had.
See if you can find out what current students have scored, or if the program discloses the average score for each cohort. In fact, it may be in your best interest to contact the program and ask them directly. They may not give you an answer, but it wouldn't hurt.
Best of luck to you!
