Teas Practice Test

Published

Hi

I just took the teas practice test that you can buy on the ATI website.

Boy, I did horrible on it, scored a total of 67%.

Reading was my best score 81.8%, Math, which I thought I knew well, 66.7%, Science, 50%, English 66.7%.

They broke all subjects down again to show all the individual scores, I got a 66.7 in Scientific Reasoning, 0% in General Science,100% in Physical science, 33.3% in Life Science and 66.7% un Scientific reasoning.

How on earth did I get a 0% in General Science? What do I need to study to get better in that area?

I am going to NVCC in Annandale, VA and they will not even look at your application unless you have an individual score of at least 78% on each section.

Has anyone taken both, the practice test and the real test, and if yes, was the study test harder than the real test? I am very scared, I am taking the test next week and I still have soooo much I need to learn.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

I am sorry to hear you did so poorly, have you tried signing up for that study group held at the MEC? I posted the information on another thread you were in, in the Virginia forum. My friend also has to take the teas, and she is worried sick.

I meet with the tutor twice a week for about an hour each time. I do not think it's that helpful. I need to find out more about the group sessions, maybe they are more informative.

Has your friend taken it already?

Thank you :)

I took the Teas and practice test recently. Remember that there are more questions on the actual test than the practice, so scores can be different. The format of the practice test is almost exact to the actual test if you take a computerized test. From my experience, the questions on the practice test seemed a little tougher than the actual test. If you have time, buy the ATI study guide book if you haven't already. It really helped prepare me for the TEAS. I bought the practice test as a second study reference. Be sure to watch your time on the math section of the TEAS, I almost ran out of time. Other sections seem to give you enough time to finish. Good luck!
