TEAS EXAM: I failed... Anyone take it with some advice? I failed the science portion. GRR... I am very weak on life science and general science. I was wondering, if you take it the second time, is it the same test or is it a different one with all new answers?
Thanks, I need all the help I can get!

If you want to continue on the nursing path, look at other schools in your area and their requirements. By doing so, you'll either find an option that will allow you to jump ship without too much detriment (i.e. the new school will consider your credits that you've already taken as fulfilling their requirements for their nursing program so that you don't end up having wasted time and needing too many additional credits) or you'll realize that where you are is the best option out there (i.e. their TEAS V score requirement is the lowest around). From there you can make a more informed decision. Good luck!
Invest in the TEAS study book. Study it, take the sample tests at the end of each chapter, see how you do. If you can figure out which subjects you have the most difficult time with, then see about getting tutored in this subject. Local high schools who have National Honor Society clubs have to do "x" amount of hours of community service. Contact your local high school guidance department and see if that is the case, and if you can go to the school a couple of hours a week to be tutored by one of their students for credit. Another idea is to ask if they know of a senior who could help, and in exchange you will write a recommendation for this kids college scholarship applications. I did that for algebra, and it really worked. Also work on your reading and editing. That huge section of reading and correcting is an important one. The TEAS scores you on EACH subject, not an overall average, so you have to pass each section. You CAN do this and best of luck!!
I have taken the TEAS twice now and am having trouble with the math section. Bought the ATI prep book and found it very unhelpful, it's the work problems that I have trouble with, I understand the equations but get lost in the word problems. The prep book didn't help there is only one section on word problems. Any advice on other sources?
