Teas vs. Hesi 2A

Nursing Students TEAS

Published

Hello everyone I have a question regarding the Teas & Hesi 2A exam . What is the difference ? I want to apply to rcc and there requirement is to take the teas version 6. I also want to apply to mt. Sac but they require you to take the Hesi 2A. What is the difference between these two? Is it possible to take only the Teas and send the results in to mt. Sac, will they accept that ? Or do I have to study for both the teas and the Hesi 2a exam? Someone please help me out. I won't apply until next year because I'm still working on my science pre req but I always think way ahead of time.

Take the test each school requires. I think they list the subjects that the test covers. The TEAS is a watered down SAT basically. I never took the pre-HESI, but I took them in nursing school.

Standardized tests are the devil in my opinion. One way schools weed out candidates is with these devilish tests. If you want in do what they want. I didn't study for the TEAS and got a score I needed by the hairs of my chinny chin chin (it was low, embarrassingly low). But the rest of my student resume was impressive and I was accepted. Good luck!

That means I need to study for both exams then ! It's all good though I just wanted to clarify. I agree, standardized test suck lol, but gotta do what you gotta do ! Thank you! (:
