Hello! I'm looking into applying to the TCU accelerated BSN program, but I'm confused about the prereqs listed on their website ( http://www.nursing.tcu.edu/docs/ABTForms/ABT%20BSN%20Prereq_NotesR2-2008.pdf ). I have a BA in psychology. I actually took A&P I&II and Microbiology back in 1998. It's been over 10 years. The TCU prereq page says they prefer the classes have been taken within 10 years. Is there anyone else out there who was in my situation and ended up retaking them? Honestly, I think retaking them to raise the grades would be a good idea, anyway. I would want to go with the prereq grades and not overall gpa application option.
So, if I have to retake A&P, I need to choose a community college to do that at. It appears that at Northlake college, a biology class is a prereq to taking A&P I that I didn't have to take originally. I wonder if I could get approval for that to be waived since I'm retaking A&P. Over at Tarrant County College, I don't see any such bio pre-req for A&P.
Can anyone out there who is currently in (or has graduated from) the TCU program recommend which of these two community colleges is better for getting the TCU accelerated BSN program prereqs? Also, if you can give me any other pointers or anecdotes for how you went about getting your prereqs, I'd greatly appreciate that!! :)

I am graduating from the accelerated program NEXT FRIDAY!! WOOT!
Anyway, to answer your question, I would go with TCC. That's where I and the majority of my classmates took our prereqs. As far as it your classes being 10 years old, I say retake them if you know you need to raise your grade. And, it wouldn't hurt to have that refresher!
Let me know if you have any other questions. Good luck!
