Has anyone taken the TCC A & P bio 141 online?

The Norfolk campus doesn't seem to have a good class choice for me. The online professor is highly recommended.

I was thinking of trying 142 online this semester. I started it at the VB campus last spring and had to drop midway due to a death in the family. I was wondering about lab. If I take the recommended online course do I have to take a lab on that campus or should I look into Norfolk? Thanks for any input!

I'm not 100% on this, but from my understanding your lecture and lab have be at the same campus. You don't need the same instructors, but same campus. When you sign up for the class online it prompts you to pick the corresponding lab/lecture at that campus. i.e. I sign up for a lab at chesapeake campus on Tuesday's. The next screen tells me I need to sign up for the lecture and gives me the available class schedule for that campus only. Hope this helps.

I have heard from many people the professor that does online through Norfolk is great for 142. I had her for Human Biology 100 and it was a good course. She is informative. I understand that your lab has to be at the same campus. That has been my issue with Norfolk becasue other than the one professor no other professors have been recommended for evening Labs. I don't know about the professors for daytime.

Thanks for all your input. I have registered and hopefully I have made the right decisions. I am ready for the hard work and actually I love the studying. Crazy but I really enjoy it.

I checked and Dr **** was full online. Phooey! Maybe someone will drop. Thanks for the information, I think you are right. Any suggestions for Norfolk online? (I know you can't name names.)

Sorry, haven't heard anything (or attended any classes) about the Norfolk campus classes or professors. Maybe someone else who has attended that campus can answer? you can always type their names into ratemyprofessors.com. Just don't take everything you read to heart.

I just get frustrated with the group projects and other people that dont contribute.

From what I remember about 141/142 online there are no group projects, at least none with the professor/instructors I took.

Likewise, no group projects or anything online at the chesapeake campus. At least not when I took them last semester.

that's great to know. I don't mind working with others but when they don't participate in a resonable time, it drives me insane.

I've taken both classes in person, and fully recommend it. Everyone I've talked to who has taken the online has either A) hated it or B) could not keep up when they did the next anatomy class... but this could just be the people i know! :)

I got the Professor I wanted !! I am so glad. I have him for online and lab in Chesapeake. Anyone know what unit they start 142 on? I wanted to jump ahead and do some reading and studying. At the VB campus 142 starts with "Special Senses"..... Or maybe just the last topic in lab in Chesapeake 141. Thanks for all the info and input about 142. I appreciate it.
