The Texas BON stopped issuing wallet-sized nursing license cards back in September 2008 due to increased incidences of identity theft. Employers in Texas do strictly online verifications of peoples' nursing licenses.
I see. Is there any way I could obtain a document which states that I am a TX RN with valid license? I need it as a proof during my embassy interview. I do not know where my NCLEX pass letter is, or if I even have one, since I took the NCLEX in 2006. That NCLEX test was with New Mexico BON by the way and was endorsed to TX BON.
Visit the Texas Board of Nursing's website and verify your license there. Click on 'Verify a License' then click on 'RN verification.' Type your license number in the space provided, click 'Submit,' and a copy of your RN license should appear.I see. Does TX BON issue an actual license card or is an online check at TX BON website the only means to verify licensure with texas BON? Thanks.
