Hello all,
I took TB Skin Test and it's a positive, 30 mm. They took my Chest x-ray today. I will know the result on 8/8/07. I took the TB Skin Test for Red Cross CNA class which will start on 8/1/07. I am a pre-nursing student.
Here is my question. If I have to take a drugs for my TB positive then how much does it cost? I do not have a health insurance.
The second question is:
Should I postpond my CNA class on 8/1/07 in case if my chest x-ray is positive?
Please help me... I am confused and worried. Thank you!
That's what I said!
Oh... I did not understand your question... now it clicked me :-)
I went to a free clinic becuase I do not have a health insurance. They said they are making an exception for me to do very fast which is 8/8/07 ;-)
My CNA clinical starts on 8/9/07 and I need to reslove this issue before that day. Hrm... should I just postpone my class until next term???

Dear oneLoneNurse,
Your reply made me laugh... I am thinking the same after all the reserch. I grew up in South Korea in 60s, and 70s and at the time we were vaccinated so many kinds of diseases and I am thinking TB is one of them. A couple of my relatives were died from TB in 50s so we were very cacious about the TB.
Yes, I do not really want the meds. So if my chest x-ray came out to be a positive then do I have to take a meds or do I have a choice not to take them???
Thank you!
