Hi all
As my husband and I are considering to leave UK as soon as we can (once I have qualified as a Registered Mental Health Nurse = 2011:)), we have been looking into all the different countries we would consider. OZ, NZ and Canada are the options we got. Now, we have found a lot of info regarding job future, real estate, schools, ...... but what we haven't found so far is an idea of what percentage of deduction to expect from the salary.
Could anybody here enlighten me? My husband is a technical engineer and we have two children.
All these things to consider, but I guess nobody wants to experience a decrease in standard of living.
And immigration is such a big step.
Any info would be greatly appreciated. x
Thanks.

it depends on your residency status how much you get taxed. have a look at the dept of immigration website, if you live outside of the major cities you are more likly to get residency quicker. Unless you husband has been offered a job with residency.
If you have a british passport you are entitled to medicare which means you do not have to pay for healthcare in the public sector and GP visits are either bulk billed or refundable.
good luck!
