Anyone have any visible tattoos?? How do other people (managers, pts etc.) react to them? I have a very visible tattoo on my forearm that I am worried will cause me problems later. I've never had any negative reactions to it I'm just afraid people will think I'm unprofessional.:nono:

Specializes in Mostly LTC, some acute and some ER,.

My tats are generally covered at work, but I am not ashamed if one pops out. I got my tattoos for a reason, and they are all tattoos I am proud of, otherwise I would not have gotten the. I also plan on getting more. I also sport a nose stud. I think it looks nice, but that is as far as I am going on facial piercings.

I think it is very important not to judge someone based on their appearance. I have been judged before as looking unfriendly, and unkind, but I am the furthest person from that.

Specializes in Cath Lab/Critical Care.

I think that many people would be shocked at how many LOL's have tattoos...my grandmother gave herself a gift for her 65th bday, a small bird tattood above her left breast...she said she wanted the "bluebird of happiness" over her heart! My mother was scandalized, my brothers and I thought it was great!
