I am starting this for anyone who is applying for the TCC RN program in August.
Christin,
Congrats on getting into the program! I had the traditional books. My friend however had an ipad and absolutely loved it! The pageburst program is so convenient and easy to use. You can highlight, do searches and can copy and paste to make a study guide. I think Cross had the ebooks with an ipad. She will probably reply to u when she sees ur post. Also, the foundations book alone is SOO heavy! Thus, I never brought it to class! LOL! wretched thing....
congrats to you on getting in!!! I had both books and ebooks on iPad. I really am a person who loves the handling of the books. However I loved how I could quickly search for things on the ebooks. I personally hated the pageburst because the book did not look like to actual paper book this was our skills and pharmacology book. I loved the ebook for our theory class though. But by the middle of the semester I was solely using the actual book. In the future I will probably get my theory book in both ebook and regular. Now I will aslo say I loved all my clinical books on ebooks cuz you only use them for reference so searching and looking up things is a breeze. Hope this helps!!!
Christen, The first four weeks are f2f lectures. Then the next 4 weeks are on blackboard. You will repeat that again and you're done! Mrs. C IS AWESOME and you will love the weeks that you are on campus only 1 day!@ manow (or anyone else who knows) I saw that you were in the hybrid foundation theory class, and was wondering if you could tell me how it works. I know it's 50/50, but I got my schedule and it's the same same amount of class time as everyone else. When is the online part? thank you!!
Hi everyone! I know you guys are too busy right now to be on here very much, but I just needed a little advice. I applied to TCC nursing for Spring 2013. The thing is, I just found out that I'm pregnant, due May 22. IF I get accepted, I am really confused about what I should do. I will be finishing right before my due date and I will be huge. Do you know anyone who did this? Is it even allowed? Are there classes/clinicals both summer sessions? Thank you
It has been done before! You do have classes during your first summer - mental health for 6 weeks. For us we didn't have a choice initially which session we took, but they did make allowances for special circumstances. You'll have to figure out what works best for you but when it gets closer I would just speak with the instructors to see what they say. :-)

Hi everyone I am starting the program in the fall and I am trying to decided if I should buy the regular books, or do the ebooks with an ipad. Anyone have any opinion on which version they prefer, or if there is ever any issues with the ebooks? THanks!
