Well, Im finally getting around to going back to school. Its been about 2 years of hard work, but I think Im back in the financial situation I can afford to go back to school. I have about 44 hours of college under my belt with many withdrawals (90ish total hours)... BUT, Im going back.
Anyways, I have been very excited about this whole school thing and am going back in January regardless of if I can even get into the nursing program...I have plenty of pre-requisites to take (well, maybe 7). Im hoping to have almost all my classes done by the end of summer II.
Enough with my story.. Is there a waiting list at TCC? Im really worried that I will be wait listed forever. My plan is to get my ADN and keep going to school while working. I shouldnt be way to far off from getting my BSN.. While working and finishing up my BSN, I get experience then I would like to get into a PA or CRNA school.
So...is there a wait list? Im going Tuesday (have a Dr. appt so I can miss work anyways) to the Northeast campus to talk with a counselor...just to excited to wait.
Thanks
Tim
I've talked to people in the hospital/El Centro programs, and they say it does take a year to get in. Maybe with your connections, you can bypass that.I'm in the El Centro program, but not through a hospital. If you have any questions, just let me know :)
Good luck!
If its going to take a year, Im just going to pay my own way through school. Looks like TCC is in my near future
Planned my classes and have 5 to take this spring
Oh, and if you take classes on the NE campus, and want professor suggestions, feel free to ask. I took all my pre-reqs there.
I have been using Ratemyprofessor.com
Looks like 6 classes in the spring... going to be a busy semester
Comp II - online - Hubbard
PE - online - Buzz Gardner
Film appreciation - Saturdays - dunno
A&P I - MWF - Patrick
A&P Lab - Fridays - Patrick
BioChem - MWF - Gargan
BioChem Lab - T - Gargan
Psych - TTH - dunno..only 1 teacher though
are you trying to take all these at once. bad idea..... a&p 1 and that chem course are heavy heavy courses. comp 2 online is so writing intensive that my hand damn near fell of at the end of the semester . the others are ok but if you are trying to get in the nursing program you need to focus on getting good grades and not cramming them all in... it is very hard to get a spot in tcc's nursing program.
