Tarrant County College VN program Fall 2017

Published

Hello everyone!

I went to the info meeting yesterday for the new VN program and thought I would get one of these blogs started up. I'm sure we all have lots of questions!

Hello, I just found out that they only allow student to take the required classes for 2 times. I took AP1 twice, I dropped out from the class the first time and the second time I got a C. I got an A in PSYC and I haven't take the HESI yet. I know I will have no chance for the RN. Do you guys think I will have any chance with a C and an A if I get a really high HESI score? I'm so frustrated right now and is there any backdoor to get to RN beside this program?

This is my situation. I currently have a C in A&P I (if I don't retake it this spring semester). I have an A in PSYC 2301 but I have a 92 overall in HESI (for the 3 parts they are looking for). If I can't retake that class then the scores I have now will just have to do! Lol!

Hello, does anyone know the length of the vn program? I've seen anywhere from 12 -14 months at vocational schools but i didn't see any info for Tcc. Thanks.

The LVN program at TCC is 12 months.

I am applying for this year and I just want to know if you guys think I have a chance... I applied to the RN program last semester and they had me as an alternate and I never got in so I'm applying to the LVN this semester I have a B in A&P 1 and B in Psyc and a B on the HESI.

Hey everyone. I'm gonna be applying to the LVN program for fall 2019. Does anyone know around how many people apply to this program? since the acceptance is so limited. I have an A for AP1 and an 85 on the HESI. Will that be good enough to be accepted? I see people including psychology and I also made an A on that.
